Vin Diesel was born on July 18th, 1967 in New York. He began his acting career when he was seven years old at the Theater for the New City in Greenwich Village and continued to work in the theater throughout his youth. He later majored in English at Hunter College and soon began writing screenplays (I've also heard he dropped out??). During this time Vin worked as a bouncer, for 9 years, in which he is currently writing a screen play about called Doormen. His first two films screened at major film festivals (Mutli-Facial, and Strays.) He and the cast of Saving Private Ryan had an SAG Award nomination for Outstanding Performance By A Cast. Vin's real last name is Vincent, and for some reason he says is his real first name. His dad taught film and his mother was an astrologist. Apparently his demands got him thrown off Reindeer games before filming started, although he won't comment on that, other people who have worked with him say they've had no problems with him. Vin owns a Staffordshire bull Terrier named Winston. Also I guess Vin has a twin brother... another bit of information that someone gave me. Vin is going around looking for places to film Doorman at and apparentlyhe found a perfect bar in Chicago... but from what I've heard, it's a hardcore gay bar.
